About Me

last updated:01/14/25

I grew up in southeastern Massachusetts with my Mom, Dad, and four siblings. From a young age, I had an affinity for the performing arts. My debut performance was a rendition of "I Love You" by Barney (yes the purple dinosaur) spontaniously sung at my Aunt's Wedding when I was a mere 2 years old. You could also consider this my first modeling gig as well, because according to my family the wedding photographer got more pictures of me than the bride and groom.

I got my start in acting during the 4th grade when I was cast as Tinkerbell in my elementary school’s production of Peter Pan. As a kid, I also took dance lessons. In middle school, I participated in the drama club and joined my town’s pop-warner cheerleading team. Both of these activities allowed me to do what I love: perform. My cheerleading team made it to the national competition twice, and I got to cheer, dance, and flip around on a giant stage at Disney World. In the drama club, my favorite role I got to play was Molly in Annie, this show is what truly ignited my passion for theatre.

I was an active member of my high school’s acting company, my favorite role played there being Deena from Almost, Maine. I was also a member of The International Thespian Society, and by my high school graduation I reached the rank of National Honor Thespian. In high school, I worked for a local blog writing reviews of shows at Trinity Rep and PPAC. During summer break, I would take a yearly trip to New York to see a Broadway show. The first show I ever saw on Broadway was The Play That Goes Wrong. While in New York, I visited bookstores like the Drama Bookshop to buy acting books and see all the shelves lined with scripts. I discovered my desire to learn absolutely everything about the theatre and began reading books on acting for fun. The first acting book I read was The Audition by Micheal Shurtleff, but my favorite is Respect for Acting by Uta Hagen. When it came time to apply to colleges, there was no doubt in my mind that I would major in Theatre.

I became a student at Rhode Island College and in 2024 graduated with a B.A. in Theatre. There, I have had the opportunity to perform several plays. Some of the roles that are dearest to me are Young Woman in Machinal, Meredith in Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, and #46 in The Wolves. I also have had experience with Shakespeare, and played MacDuff in MacBeth. At Rhode Island College, I got to work with so many wonderful instructors and take a variety of classes on subjects from period styles to collaborative devising. I also discovered my interest in learning about costuming, and designed the costumes for a student-directed show titled Nothing is the End of the World (except the end of the world).

Since graduating, I’ve worked on student short films and did background work in a Lifetime Movie. I am excited to continue my work in the theatre and on film. When I’m not acting or designing, I like to scrapbook, sew, and spend time with my pet cat, Lovie.
